It is every beginning Four Roses fan dream to collect all 10 of the single barrel recipes. It is a difficult and expensive process. The single recipes are only available as private selection barrel strength single barrels and MSRP has risen up to around $100 per bottle. You either have to frequent the Four Roses gift shops in Lawrenceburg and Coxs Creek or visit your local liquors stores that get awarded the ability to select a single barrel. They are difficult to find and with a minimum of $1,000 now to purchase all 10.
Luckily, that is changing very soon because Four Roses will begin selling all 10 recipes in mini bottles together in a package. MSRP for this will be around $130. These kits will be available for distribution in Kentucky, California, Illinois, and Georgia starting in August.
This is somewhat of a deal if you are new to Four Roses or havnt been able to track down all 10 recipes. It’s tough and this takes a lot of the stress and legwork out of the hunt. The mini bottles are not barrel strength which is a let down but I understand wanting to keep these at a consistent proof.
It appears there will be a lottery for Mellow Moments Members to win a virtual recorded tasting of the 10 recipe mini set. Detail are forthcoming so watch your emails!

Four Roses also sent out an email outlining new redesigned labels for their standard Four Roses, Four Roses Single Barrel, Small Batch and Four Roses Small Batch Select. I think this is well overdue and a great idea. The Four Roses labels needed an update and hopefully there will be a little more information on the back of the bottles as well.

Overall exciting times for Four Roses and very happy to see the brand continuing to evolve. Allowing easy (and somewhat expensive) access to all 10 recipes is a big win for fans and should allow a more informed buying experience.
